Artist Statement

A high sensation seeker, searching for stillness.

Nicole Tanke is a contemporary fine art artist working in photography, drawn to the lines, rhythms and quiet structures hidden in architecture and everyday spaces, transformed into abstract compositions that reward a longer look.

Discovering photography in 2014 marked a turning point: a shift from noise to attention, from looking to truly seeing line, repetition, light and space. That shift remains the foundation of her practice today.

Each work is a unique, 1/1 original. Nicole creates autonomously from her studio, for collectors, galleries, curators and private clients who value considered, quiet abstraction.

As an emerging voice in contemporary fine art photography, Nicole is now welcoming inquiries from galleries and curators seeking new talent for representation.

I am a high sensation seeker. I crave intensity, movement, things that make me feel alive. At the same time, I feel everything deeply, and need stillness just as much. Every day is a search for that balance between action and rest. My artworks are where I find it: images that are bold and unafraid of impact, born from a quiet, sensitive way of looking at the world.
